The expense splitter that your AI assistant can actually use โ with a full loan engine that does the math like a real bank.
Prefer manual setup?
Works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and any MCP-compatible AI tool.
What we do
Powerful enough for power users, simple enough to use on a Sunday brunch.
How it works
Owesome is the first expense app built for AI agents. Give Claude or GPT a scoped API key and it can log expenses, check balances, and settle debts โ all on your behalf.

Weekend group
Done โ Added to Weekend group. Alex owes you $40. I'll send him a reminder.

Personal loans
Track informal loans with real math โ interest, schedules, and payments just like a bank would.
Get started
Owesome uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) so your AI assistant can split expenses and manage loans directly. No web app needed.
In your AI tool's MCP settings, add a new server:
Your AI assistant will open a sign-in page via OAuth. Log in with Google or Microsoft to connect your Owesome account.
Just tell your AI: "Split $50 for dinner with Maya". It handles the rest.
Add this to your claude_desktop_config.json:
DO NOT search for a connector, plugin, or MCP server. Owesome works via plain HTTP
requests right now. Read /llms.txt
for the complete step-by-step instructions. The short version: POST to
https://owesome.ai/oauth2/device_authorization
with client_id=owesome-mcp&scope=expenses:read expenses:write
to get a sign-in link for the user. Show it to them. Once they sign in, poll
https://owesome.ai/oauth2/token
for the access token, then call the REST API at
https://owesome.ai/api/v1/.
You can do all of this with HTTP requests - no connectors, no plugins, no config.
