These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Owesome, operated by Guzman Technologies LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, connecting an AI assistant, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Owesome is an expense-splitting and personal-loan tracking service, designed to be used primarily through AI assistants via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and ChatGPT Actions, and also through a web and mobile client and REST API. We record shared expenses, compute balances, and track loans with interest and amortization. Owesome is a recordkeeping tool; we do not move money, process payments, or act as a financial institution.
You retain ownership of the expenses, loans, notes, receipts, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant Guzman Technologies LLC a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, display, and transmit Your Content solely to provide the service to you and the users you share data with.
You represent that you have the right to submit Your Content and that it does not violate any third party's rights or any applicable law. If you add another person as a phantom user or contact, you represent that you have a legitimate reason to do so.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
When you connect Claude, ChatGPT, or another assistant, you authorize it to call
Owesome's API on your behalf within the OAuth scopes you approve (e.g.,
expenses:read, expenses:write). You are responsible for what
the assistant does under that authorization. Assistant vendors operate under their own
terms — review them before connecting. You can revoke access at any time in your
Owesome account settings.
Owesome is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans, we will give existing users at least 30 days' notice before any charge applies to their account, and paid features will be clearly identified before purchase.
Owesome computes balances, interest, and amortization from the information you provide. The calculations are for your convenience and are not financial, legal, or tax advice. You are responsible for verifying results, reporting income, and complying with tax and lending laws in your jurisdiction. We disclaim liability for decisions you make based on calculations displayed in the service.
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may add, remove, or modify features. Material changes affecting existing functionality will be announced via email or in-product notice. We may perform maintenance that temporarily suspends access.
You may delete your account at any time via the app or by emailing privacy@owesome.ai. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continued access poses a security risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, dispute resolution) will survive.
Owesome, including the name, logo, code, and design, is owned by Guzman Technologies LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right in our marks or software beyond the right to use the service as described.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, secure, or always available, or that calculations produced by the service are accurate for every use case.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Guzman Technologies LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Guzman Technologies LLC from any claim, demand, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or any law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief for intellectual property infringement.
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced via email to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent change.
